Tunnel Manager
Released · freewareFreeware for private connections to your servers, and the foundation of the iTechMates platform. A desktop app for SSH tunnels. Group your tunnels by server, start them with one click, and let Tunnel Manager keep them connected and open the apps behind them.
What it does
- Uses your OpenSSH setup. Your existing keys,
ssh-agent,ssh_config, ProxyJump and password sign-in all work. Passwords are never stored as plain text. - Groups tunnels by server. One profile per
user@host, with as many tunnels under it as you need. - Keeps them up. Reconnects after network loss and after your computer wakes up.
- Checks health. Shows the SSH connection, the remote service, the tunnel and the app separately, so you can see what is wrong.
- Opens the app. When a tunnelled web app is healthy, Tunnel Manager opens it in its own window.
- Tray app. Start and stop tunnels from the tray, and get notifications.
- Safe updates. Verifies the downloaded archive before it replaces any files.
- Portable settings. Settings live in your user profile, so the program folder can move.
Who it is for
- Developers who reach databases, dashboards and development servers over SSH.
- Server owners who keep admin tools off the public internet.
- AgentW users: Tunnel Manager is how you reach the AgentW workspace.
How it works
- Download the archive for your system and check it against the published
SHA256SUMS.txt. - Extract it into a folder in your user profile and run Tunnel Manager.
- Add a server profile, then add the tunnels you need.
- Start them. Tunnel Manager uses your SSH keys first and asks for a password only if the server needs one.
Security and privacy
- Uses the operating system's own OpenSSH client. No custom SSH code.
- No telemetry, no account and no cloud sync.
- A dedicated SSH key per profile is created only after you approve it.
- The current builds are not yet code-signed, so Windows may warn before the first launch. Always check the checksum, and only download from the official GitHub releases page.

FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. Tunnel Manager is freeware, and it is a strategic part of our platform: it is the client that our commercial products, AgentW and Private Web, build on. Free distribution builds the user base those products sell to.
Why does Windows warn me?
The preview builds are not code-signed yet. Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt before you run it.
Does it work without AgentW?
Yes. It works with any service you can reach over SSH.
